About

Rachelle Gleason, CMHC

One of my life mottos is “I am still learning” and I use that same perspective with clients as we work together in therapy. I hope to empower you with greater understanding and compassion for yourself and the many ways you are still learning about being a human rather than resorting to the often self-critical and negative view of oneself or one’s shortcomings. I believe we all have the power to change. I love walking with people through their desired change. I believe the ultimate role of a therapist is to help each client return to their most authentic self.

The Giant Sequoia trees are a beautiful metaphor for growth. The largest trees in the world take thousands of years to become as stunning as they are and fire is an essential component for the continued growth of the impressive sequoia groves. I’m interested in helping people grow through their own metaphorical fires in life.

I often incorporate EMDR, IFS-informed parts work, CBT, ACT, and somatic therapies with a person-centered approach to help you change unwanted behaviors, improve relationships, increase your emotional intelligence and resilience to improve your self-compassion, self-worth and self-acceptance.
